I wrote this article today for LiberalAmerica. It’s about how I loved teaching fifth graders to become good citizens and caring members of a thriving community (our classroom).

In the article, I compare the behavior and the beliefs of these very young children to what goes on in Washington. I’m sure you won’t be surprised to hear that the kids come out on top every single time.
